Custom Product Myths

There are tons of custom product myths floating around out there. Most are just that—myths! Let’s debunk a few & set the record straight.
Being in the custom product industry for 10+ years has allowed us to hear every myth there is about custom products, from the sort of believable to the flat-out preposterous! We’re here today to debunk those myths once and for all.
Custom Products are Too Expensive… FALSE
Many of the most popular custom products such as patches and stickers are actually extremely affordable. Depending on which special options you choose, the price of a patch or a sticker can cost just cents. 
For example, you can make 200 embroidered patches for just $0.61 each. Custom woven patches are even cheaper, with 200 starting at only $0.47 each! Even if you only sell them for a dollar each (and most patches go for several dollars), that’s still TWICE what you paid for them. If you are planning on selling these items, you can enjoy an extremely high markup because your costs will be so low.
Custom Products = Slow Turnaround Times… FALSE
Just because you are ordering a custom product does not mean that the delivery will be DMV-level slow. Just make sure you do research and find a company that offers rapid shipping. The/Studio even offers rush shipping (for an additional cost), but our standard shipping is really fast too (and is 100% FREE).
You Need to Order a Certain Amount… FALSE
A lot of companies do have a minimum order quantity or “MOQ.” This means you have to order a certain amount of custom products, at a minimum, to work with said company. This is really rough for smaller brands, or retailers that are looking to dip their toes in the water selling a new type of product. Luckily, The/Studio has NO MOQs! That means you can order as few or as many customized products as you need. Ordering more will get you an increased discount, but you can order just one item if that’s all you need! 
We also let our customers order prototypes. That way, you can order just a single prototype and make any needed changes before you send your full order of dozens, hundreds, or thousands of custom-made merch items into production. 
The Quality of Custom Products is Poor… FALSE 
Sure, some brands have terrible quality, but others have incredible quality. It all depends on where you order your custom products from. The/Studio offers the highest quality materials. We’ve made custom products for industry-leading brands across the globe, and just reading a few of our Trustpilot reviews will prove that our quality is top-of-the-line.
If You Don’t Have Artwork, You Can’t Make a Custom Product… FALSE
This may be true with most custom merch brands, but not with The/Studio! The/Studio has a team of talented in-house designers, all of whom are ready to work with you to create designs based on your vision.
