Guardians of the Galaxy Challenge Coins August 14, 2014

Let us set the scene….challenge coins, Guardians of the Galaxy and our troops. No, this isn’t the premise of Guardians of the Galaxy Part 2, this is what happened in Afghanistan last weekend. Marvel Studio surprised the US military with a private screening of Guardians of the Galaxy.

The soldiers were also given limited edition Guardians of the Galaxy challenge coins. The special challenge coins represent the Nova Corps logo. For those of you who have never heard of the Nova Corps, they are the police and military of a far away galaxy.

We thought this was such a nice gesture because of the long history that the military and challenge coins share.

Guardians of the Galaxy is a film based on the original Marvel Comic. The film features an all-star cast of actors including, Chris Pratt. Zoe Saldana, Vin Diesel, Bradley Cooper, Dijmon Hounso, John C. Riley, Glenn Close, and Benicio Del Toro.

We love to hear that our troops are being taken care of. They deserve all the Guardians of the Galaxy in the world and so much more!
