Meet Erin and Dan, the Founders of Inn Town Campground

Get to know Erin and Dan

The/Studio: Introduce yourself. Tell our readers a little bit about who you are!

Erin: Hello, my name is Erin and my husband Dan and I are building a campground, the Inn Town Campground, a serviced campground in downtown Nevada City that will offer tent sites, RV hook ups and glamping tents opening in summer of 2016.

The/Studio: I love camping and I love glamping even more! I will have to come visit when you open! What have you learned since starting your business?

Erin: We own the Outside Inn, a motel in Nevada City and we’ve learned that people come to visit the Gold Country for all sorts of reasons, events, family, business, workshops, etc.  We’re excited to be able to expand the accommodation options for locals and visitors to our area who are looking for a more outdoor experience.

 

The/Studio: Wow! You own a motel as well? That’s impressive! What about your business are you most proud of?

Erin: The Inn Town Campground is going to be a destination in itself, but we’re so excited to be creating a place that will be a part of people’s memories and vacation fun.

The/Studio: That is something to proud of! What are some of the greatest challenges you face with your  business?

Erin: We’re building the campground from the ground up, so there is a lot of work to be done behind the scenes with the infrastructure.  We’re finalizing our engineer drawings and hope to start construction in May 2015.

The/Studio: I can only imagine how much work that is but it will all be worth it! Where do you see your business in 10 years?

Erin: A thriving campground that provides affordable lodging options to people interested in visiting in Nevada City.

The/Studio: That’s great! What type of legacy do you want to leave?

Erin: Memories.

The/Studio: What is the story behind the custom patches that you produced with The/Studio?

Erin: We want to work on brand recognition for the campground while we’re in the development stage, so we’re using the patches as a way to customize jackets, hats, bags and other items.  We hope it gets people talking about the campground so when we’re ready to open they’ll already know about it and be ready to visit.

The/Studio: That’s very smart! How are you going to use this custom patch?

Erin: Jackets, hats, bags and giveaways.

The/Studio: Describe the custom product, what does it mean?

Erin: It’s a patch, and we’re excited that it’s so easy to iron on, we’ve already put the patch to work.

The/Studio: We are so happy to hear that! Do you have any promotions you would like to offer our community?
