Why Does Your Hat Need a Custom Patch?
The answer here is really pretty simple. Hats are hats. Everyone has them, and everyone wears them now and then. So… how do you make your hats stand out from the crowd? Custom patches! Custom-made patches give your hat a one-of-a-kind look, so it immediately becomes a completely unique product. Sure, there are other ways to make custom hats unique, but adding custom patches to a hat is much cheaper in the long run than directly embroidering your hat. Another benefit is that patches can be reused. So, if your hat gets dirty beyond cleaning or damaged beyond repair, you can unsew the patch and simply place it on a new hat!
Patches also allow you lots of design flexibility. You can try out a variety of different patch textures and styles, such as leather, chenille, bullion, PVC, embroidered, woven, or printed.

Suggested Design Choices for Your Custom Hat Patch
We’ve made thousands of custom patches, often for hats (and we’ve made a ton of custom hats, too). So basically we’ve seen it all as far as custom patch ideas for hats go.
We recommend a size of 2 to 2.5 inches for hat patches. If you want us to adhere the patch to the hat for you, we will sew it on ourselves if you choose the sew-on backing option. (This is the best backing option for hat patches.) If you’re looking at adding patches to your hat, we recommend making dad hats, trucker hats, or baseball hats. That said… anything goes! The custom hats and patches you make are only limited by your imagination 🙂
