1. About the partnership

Red Bull has built a global reputation around energy, innovation, and world-class performance. From racing circuits to air shows, every event embodies the thrill of motion and precision. To bring that same spirit into their merchandise, Red Bull partnered with THE/STUDIO to create a line of custom patches that capture the excitement and visual impact of their most iconic events.

This collaboration celebrates Red Bull’s creative energy, translating it into detailed, high-quality patches that combine craftsmanship with brand storytelling.

2. The challenge

Red Bull needed embroidered patches that could match the pace and quality of their events. Each design had to be instantly recognizable, durable enough for active use, and detailed enough to highlight the unique story behind every event. From motorsport showruns to aviation competitions, consistency and precision were non-negotiable.

THE/STUDIO’s challenge was to translate Red Bull’s high-octane visual identity into thread and texture while ensuring that every patch maintained its vibrancy and integrity through wear, movement, and travel.

3. The creative process

THE/STUDIO worked closely with Red Bull’s creative team to bring their event designs to life. Every patch began as a high-resolution artwork that was translated into thread maps and color charts. Stitching density, layering, and edge finishing were refined through multiple sampling rounds to achieve the perfect balance of clarity and texture.

Particular attention was given to preserving the accuracy of the Red Bull logo and ensuring every gradient, line, and contour aligned with the brand’s global design standards. For the Red Bull Non Stock 600 patch, THE/STUDIO used a mixed method of embroidery and printing to achieve sharp detailing and layered visual depth, resulting in a patch that feels both textured and sleek.

4. The collection

The collaboration produced a collection of signature event patches including:

Red Bull Showrun – A fully embroidered round patch featuring a Formula 1 car in motion, capturing speed, power, and precision.

Red Bull Boarding Pass – A travel-inspired embroidered patch representing Red Bull’s global presence and adventurous spirit, designed with layered threadwork for bold visual dimension.

Red Bull Non Stock 600 – A hybrid embroidered and printed patch featuring checkered flags, metallic tones, and bold typography, created to reflect the pulse and excitement of competitive motorsports.

Each design was tailored for versatility, used across apparel, hats, and event gear, creating collectible symbols that unite participants and fans under Red Bull’s identity.

5. The outcome

The ongoing collaboration between Red Bull and THE/STUDIO continues to redefine what brand merchandise can be. Each patch tells a story of performance, teamwork, and excellence, embodying the energy that Red Bull represents worldwide.

Through close creative collaboration and refined production expertise, THE/STUDIO helped Red Bull translate its event legacy into timeless, tangible keepsakes that celebrate both the thrill of motion and the power of design.
